Emergency Response Structural Engineering

Services and Considerations


  • Where training and experience create high value for our clients as a strong technical resource;

  • Over 40 years of structural engineering and AEC business solutions experience;
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) (structural) in   Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin;
  • Well networked in the AEC community to find   additional resources as necessary;
  • Red Cross First Aid/AED/CRP certified;
  • Familiarity with OSHA and other safety regulations;
  • Experience working with OSHA, FEMA, CSB, (Chemical Safety Board), ATF (Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives), Homeland   Security, Building Officials, Fire and Police Departments and other entities;
  • Experience working with attorneys and other experts   on legal cases, both for the plaintiff and the defense and with insurance   companies for property condition assessments;
  • Strong communicative skills including written and   oral communication, running effective meetings, and creating a strong   technical team;
  • Coordination of various groups/teams to achieve a   unified goal;
  • Providing creative solutions out of complex   situations, (“order out of chaos”);
  • Flexible and highly adaptive to new technologies and   unique conditions;
  • Hazardous Material (HAZWOPER) training (40 hour +   annual 8 hour) – current;
  • Structural Engineering Emergency Response trained;
  • Authorized Climber certification;
  • Confined Space (permit required – authorized   entrant, attendant, entry supervisor, rescue and emergency services) trained;
  • Certified CalOES Structural Assessment Program (SAP) Evaluator, Coordinator and Trainer, California Office of Emergency Management   - current;
  • Ladder safety training;
